Eiichi Bannai

Eiichi Bannai received his BS(1968), MS(1970) and Ph.D. (1974) from University of Tokyo. He worked at University of Tokyo (1970–1976), Gakushuin University (1977–1978), and the Ohio State University (1974–1976 and 1978–1989). Since 1989 he has been working at Kyushu University. He has received Algebra Prize (for the year 2007) of Mathematical Society of Japan. Although his research focuses mainly on algebraic combinatorics, his interests lie in many areas of mathematics.
